First official photo of Hugh Jackman in The Wolverine!

After countless paparazzi photos, we finally have something official from The Wolverine, ’cause Marvel has released the first still from the movie featuring Hugh Jackman as the title character.

Jackman has no problem showing a little skin for his fans. Here he is as Logan/Wolverine striking a pose and flexing some serious muscle. The claws are out and he’s ready to fight. The Wolverine will center on the hero’s journey through Japan, where he’ll encounter the villainous Silver Samurai (Will Yun Lee).

Last month, Jackman revealed that the film will be its own entity. “We’ve deliberately not called it Wolverine 2 because we want it to be placed and feel like a standalone picture,” he said. “With an all-new cast and setting it in Japan, it’s going to give us a whole new visual aesthetic.”

We’re not sure how we feel about his hair being so short, but to each his own. What do you think of the first photo from The Wolverine?

First Robocop Suit Images Online

Ok, so the first image of the new Robocop suit has surfaced online, and it is basically exactly like the concept artwork we have seen before. Now, i’m not a huge Robocop fan like some out there, but the original design of the suit is a classic in my mind, and i’m not a stranger to updating and re-designing things alittle, esp for a reboot, but WOW, come on now!!! it’s basically a black version of Iron Man suit!!!….we’ll leave it upto you to decide.

And the ride….cant forget the ride…

The Wolverine-poster and synopsis!

The cameras are finally rolling on the much delayed X-Men movie The Wolverine, and now that the action is underway, Fox has announced the official synopsis to clue the fans in on what they can expect!

Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior an outsider in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past i n a epic battle that will leave him forever changed!

The Wolverine arc the synopsis refers to come courtesy of Chris Claremont/Frank Miller’s limited 1982 comic series. As far as source material goes, the filmmakers could do alot worse than the fan-favourite story that finds anti-hero Logan drawn deep into the heart of samurai culture. Staring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee, Hiroyuki Sanada, Rila Fukushima, and Svelta Khodchenkova, The Wolverine leaps into theaters on July 26, 2013.

Below is the new poster design, as well as the header banner above, what’d a ya think?

Michale Keton Lands Robocop Role!!!

Michale Keaton has landed a role in the new Robocop reboot that is currently in production. Keaton will replace Huge Laurie as OmniCorp CEO Raymond Sellers, head of the company that build and funds Robocop.
“Michael is the final addition to the amazing cast we have assembled for this film, and it is so great to have the last puzzle  piece in place”, director Jose Padilha told The Hollywood reporter in a statement. “It is thrilling that everything has come together to bring this innovative new vision of Robocop to life”. We’ve got a great script,a  great cast, some killer ED-209s, and I cant wait to get Alex Murphy back on the streets.

Laurie, who recently finished his run on the TV show House, was in talks for the role, but pulled last week out of the negotiations. The original Robocop was directed by Paul Vaerhoeven, and stared Peter Weller in the title role. Joel Kinnaman will play the part in the reboot, which is being produced by MGM with Columbia Pictures. gary Oldman, Samuel L. Jackson, Jay Baruchel, Abbie Cornish and Jennifer Ehle also star in the film.

Will SyFy’s Blake’s 7 be as dark as Battlestar Galactica?

Syfy’s great success story Battlestar Galactica, the cheesball 1970’s space opera show that Ronald D. Moore brought back as a gritty, more serious look at the remnants of humanity trying to survive after a robot massacre. So now that SyFy is apparently picking up Blake’s 7, the 1970s British space opera, can the channel repeat that accomplishment?

According to Deadline, SyFy has ordered a pilot script for Heroes producer Joe Pokaski’s re-imagining of Terry Nation’s saga about a group of political dissidents and criminals facing a totalitarian galactic Federation. If SyFy likes the script, Martin Campbell (Casino Royale, Green Lantern) will direct the pilot, and SyFy has already agreed that if the pilot gets filmed, so will another dozen episodes of the first season.

And the truth is, the original Blake’s 7 was already much much more fucked up than the original Battlestar Galactica, making it that much harder to do it justice to the concept in a modern framework. Besides the already mentioned elements of terrorism and an evil version of Star Trek’s Federation, consider the following:
1)A main character who’s been brainwashed to betray all his friends, and then falsely convicted of being a pedophile.

2)His sidekick is an immoral computer genius who’s willing to sacrifice everyone else’s life for his personal gain.

3)The “good guys” kill regularly and without hesitation, and are willing to make deals with drug lords and other scumbags for the cause.

4)Blake winds up being willing to throw the entire galaxy into starvation and chaos, just to overthrow it’s goverment

and that’s just scratching the surface.

The good news is, there’s plenty of stuff that could stand to be updated in the original series. The original series effects are terrible, the show sometimes drops plot lines and pretend they never existed. The show is frequently camptastic, and it’s best character- the evil; Servalan- is also kinda ludicrous at times.

So I guess the real question is weather SyFy si willing to try another “dark”  space opera, after Stargate Universe failed to inspire a huge audience. And whether Pokaski can do justice to all the dark political allegories that were already right there on the surface in the original series. And whether the Martin Campbell who directed Casino Royale can helm this pilot, instead of the Martin Campbell who directed Green Lantern.

Boba Recall – As you wish helmet project

For the upcoming As You Wish Project charity event, over forty Boba Fett and clone trooper helmets were redesigned by such luminaries as director Joe Johnston and artist Sandy Dhuyvetter, who both played a role in designing his original costume. Additionally, sculptors recreated the Mandalorian mercenary’s headgear in the style of Damien Hirst, Tony Stark, and even Fett’s own spacecraft, the Slave I. Here are some of the helmets to be sold — that faux H.R. Giger clone trooper redesign is a doozy.

We have chosen one to showcase here, if you do not know who Tom Spina is, head over to and check out some of his incredible work! And head over to the Facebook page,, for the charity and be sure to check out some of the other incredible works of art. Below is a short description about this incredible helmet from Tom Spina himself:

“For us, we wanted to do something that would be a tribute to classic, old-school, practical movie FX magic. The concept came out of a long lunch of bouncing around ideas with Mike and Pat from the studio. Rob Bottin’s brilliant work on Total Recall burned an image into the mind of everyone who saw the film and we thought it would be fun to try to bring that to life for the project.
I sort of broke down how the piece would lay out and what the “sections” would be. Pat did a great job chopping up the helmet, then re-assembling it in its new, stepped configuration. I did the paint work on the helmet, a challenge unto itself, and we sourced a great life cast of Arnold which I painted and haired.

We’ve been showing step-by step shots of the build on our Facebook Page and if you like that sort of thing, please click the “like” button and you’ll get sneak peek pics of a lot of our projects.”
